Many days in the Lord’s work seem to go by with seeming little outward accomplishment. At the same time, living a testimony before the people is necessary to possibly win them. For the last two years our monthly tract distribution in Zapopan has given some fruit. Out of 2000 tracts given out around the hall, we get a few refusals, but most take them. After Last month’s distribution a family began to come to the gospel meeting and we trust the Lord will work in their hearts. Of the thirty people in the gospel meeting last night, nine were Sunday school children that need to be saved. May the Lord save them in His time. We are preparing for a conference on Mexico’s west coast next month. We trust it will be a time of fellowship and encouragement in the things of the Lord.
Two years ago our daughter, Erika, married Ricky Sawatzky, who was already in the Lord’s work in Mexico. They live in Irapuato, Guanajuato approximately three hours from us. The work is relatively new and small. Last week they had a series of children’s meetings, taking advantage of the Easter holidays. Normally about 15 children would come to their Sunday school, so they were thrilled to have 60 or more at this special effort, sowing the seed in young hearts. We trust that soon there will be an assembly planted in that city. We look forward to seeing Ricky and Erika in Guadalajara at the end of the month. We are thankful for every blessing.
