I leave this afternoon for Scotland but the Lord in His goodness had one last encouragement. Since 2013 Marilyn and I have been told of the need for Bibles in Congo and also witnessed it first hand. As many of you will know prayer has been requested that Swahili Congo and Kiluba Bibles would go back into print. As a result of the prayers and kindness of the Lord's people the Bibles were printed in Holland and shipped to Namibia before being brought by container to Congo. Clearing customs has been a slow process but in the Lord's perfect timing the container arrived at 6am this morning, just in time for me to see the Bibles being unloaded. We wept, we rejoiced and we gave thanks to God for His goodness.
Can we ask you to please pray that each of these Bibles will arrive, undamaged and without theft or corruption into the hands of those who the Lord desires to have them. Please pray that God will use His word for the salvation of souls and for the spiritual growth of the believers and local churches here. Please also pray for our brothers Andre and Mubanga who will drive difficult and sometimes dangerous roads to distribute them. It is a lot of Bibles....but it is just a drop in the ocean of the need here. Now we turn our attention to the Kiluba Bibles for which many of our brothers and sisters hunger and thirst. To quote the words frequently used by the believers here..."God is good all the time...all the time God is good."
