We give thanks to the Lord for the positive start to the year. It has been good to see the recommencement of our Manchester City Centre drop-in each Sunday afternoon. This is following extensive building work which now means that the room we use is double the size it used to be. The location of the building we use is right in the city centre close to the gay village so in a very difficult part of the city. We thank the Lord for the opportunity to preach the Gospel as well as provide practical help in food and drinks. It has been good to see some of the regulars back.
Please pray for the Christian charity who own the building and allow us to use it as they have experienced opposition to their presence in the area from surrounding businesses.
We praise the Lord for the good number who are attending the mill at the moment. We currently have 13 people coming 4 days a week who are long term unemployed and then others who attend having different problems. What a privilege to be able to preach the gospel to over 20 people most mornings at the mill. Please pray for the practical aspect of this work in showing the compassion of Christ.
