Michael McKillen has kindly agreed to provide an update on the building project in Gorey, Eire :-
Having started with 12 believers in 2010 the young assembly in Gorey, Co Wexford have recently outgrown the rented accommodation they use in the middle of town. On Friday past they completed the purchase of 4 ground floor shop units in the middle of the second largest housing development in the town, which they intend to convert for assembly and community use.
Prayer is appreciated on 4 specific fronts. Firstly, for the granting of the necessary planning permission. Secondly, guidance and wisdom regarding the refurbishment process. Having never previously been occupied, it requires a complete overhaul and refit. Thirdly, the sellers have mooted the possibility of also selling us the top floor at a considerably reduced rate - it would be preferable to have the whole building. Fourthly, it has been wonderful to see the young assembly here so united behind the project and to watch them marvel at God's provision thus far. However, we would appreciate prayer for continued unity, and a primary focus on Christ and real people rather than on mere real estate.
