After arriving in Zambia on Tuesday I've spent the last few days dealing with various tasks in Chingola, Ndola, Lusaka and Luanshya. I am now in a taxi on the way to the border to cross over into Congo.
God willing, I will spend around two weeks in the city of Lubumbashi and hope to visit a number of different assemblies in that time. I also hope to be able to go into one of the prisons in the city during this time. The plan is then to travel around part of the Katanga province with Murray Stevenson from New Zealand and some Congolese brothers.
Although we will attend a number of conferences and meetings in this time the main purpose of the trip is to investigate the possibility of establishing some form of literature work in the country. There are many assemblies in Congo but there is a desperate lack of bibles, commentaries and sound literature. We look to the Lord to give wisdom and guidance as to how we can import and distribute literature in this country where there are so many different problems facing the people due to the instability there.
Your prayers would be greatly appreciated as we look to the Lord to open a door for the word. Please also remember Marilyn and the children as they remain in Scotland.
