The conference in Kamina finished today and it has been very fruitful. It has highlighted plenty of issues that need to be addressed and also confirmed the desperate need for bibles and literature. The elders in the picture told us yesterday that they have one hymn book and only part of one bible in their assembly. They weren't wanting anything for free, just the opportunity to buy a bible. Bibles in Swahili Congo and Kiluba have been out of print for some time and that is one reason for the shortage. There is talk of these becoming available again soon so please pray to that end. 52 people were baptised this morning and it was a privilege to witness it. Murray closed the final session of the conference in prayer this evening but nobody moved from their seat. Instead they continued to sing hymns and enjoyed the fellowship for a little bit longer. Pray for them all as they walk and cycle home over the coming days. God willing, we leave at 4:45 tomorrow morning for Kolwesi where there is another conference. Your ongoing prayer is much appreciated.
