I was speaking to my friend (Benny) in Jakarta today who is not long returned from a visit to Nepal where he visited the assemblies around Kathmandu. According to my friend there are now 10 assemblies in Nepal that he knows about. There may be more as parts of the country are very rural and difficult for travel and communication. I have personally been to a couple of assemblies in the East of the country, travelling in from West Bengal.
He has been in touch with the believers and thankfully none of them were killed in the recent disaster. One of their meeting places has been destroyed and many of their houses are ruined but they have suffered no loss of life.
I am hoping to be able to travel with Benny to some of the assemblies in June to see what we can do to help in the short to medium term.
