Another weekend of preaching is drawing to a close. The Gospel meeting will shortly bring my visit to Risedale Gospel Hall to an end. Whether I can actually get home tonight might be a different matter as the whole of Cumbria seems to be flooded.
I was last here 5 years ago and there have been big changes. The Gospel hall is renovated and modernised, people have been saved and are in fellowship. The core work continues with summer camp, Christianity Explored every year, Sunday school, children's meetings, Saturday ministry meetings, toddler work and the ongoing Gospel meetings on a Sunday.
Despite Barrow being at the end of a 35 mile cul de sac, the assembly is working hard and making an impression in the area. I have enjoyed serving with them this weekend.
